Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Teaches Kids to be Good Little Followers
I am a fan of Disney and I think Walt Disney was an American pioneer.
However, Disney ‘s Mickey Mouse Clubhouse—the TV show and the show at Disney World—attempt to teach young children an awful lesson. It is propaganda seeking to indoctrinate, in children, that group participation is an important primary of thought and action in human life. The theme of both is that accomplishment is achieved only through group participation. Through the use of program’s scenarios, the writers teach children that problems can be solved only through group participation.
In truth, all knowledge is gained firsthand through the independent exercise of an individual mind. After an individual takes the action necessary to learn or discover knowledge, it then may be communicated to others, but the initial work is performed by the individual. Thinking is an act of solitude, not of community. A person who’s primary concern is inclusion in a group, is not a thinker. He is a mental parasite hoping for a group to relieve him of the real world necessity and responsibility of mental effort and courage needed to achieve independent thought and judgement.
